Where Engines Cool and Stories Begin: Welcome to Bench Racers

Get ready for something new to roll into Frenchtown’s historic district. Bench Racers, a dynamic destination where car culture and community collide, is officially gearing up for its debut. Housed in a beautifully reimagined 1940s Texaco station, this isn't just a pit stop—it’s a place to connect.

The vision for Bench Racers was born from a simple dream: a space where nostalgia, storytelling, and togetherness take center stage. For owners Andy and Stephanie, the project is deeply personal. "This is home," says Stephanie. "We believe in reinvesting in our own community." From the restoration work by local contractors to collaborations with talented creators across the district, Bench Racers is truly a community-driven effort.

Whether you’re a die-hard gearhead, a neighbor looking for a unique hangout, or bringing along your favorite four-legged co-pilot, Bench Racers is built for making memories. We love dogs and are proud to be a dog-friendly destination, so feel free to bring your pups along for the ride!

As a new, family-owned business, Andy and Stephanie are "still in training" and mastering the day-to-day operations of the station. They invite you to join them on this journey and kindly ask for your patience as they find their rhythm. "We’re excited to see Frenchtown continue to thrive," says Andy. "Bench Racers will be a place to slow down, swap stories, and build something lasting together."
